Youth Participation in Planning & Decision-Making:
An Online Resource Guide

home / introduction / defining youth participation / participatory methods / learning from the world / our neighborhood / note for planners / additional resources

This site was initiated as a project for
CRP 386: International Planning and Participation
a graduate level course taught by Prof. Patricial Wilson
at the University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture,
Community and Regional Planning Program

This online guide is meant as an introduction to direct youth involvement
and/or leadership in comunity land use planning, policy-making, and community change-making.
Ideally, this site will help normalize the idea of direct youh involvement in community development
in the U. S. and globally, and will encourage more particpatory approaches
to community planning and decision-making, in general.

NOTE: this site is structured similarly to Youth Participation in Community Planning, by Ramona Mullahey.
Yve Susskind, and Barry Checkoway ,and is meant to expand upon this important work.
